The earnest journey of UCPB Savings Bank to innovate and exceed client’s expectations and extend its reach to fulfil the mandate of inclusive banking is taking another step forward by the opening of two more Branch Lites.
From a Lending Office located in Tacloban, the Bank inaugurated Palo Branch Lite last May 17, 2019 to be able to offer not just loans to the Province of Leyte but also the basic banking transactions like deposit and withdrawal.
Mr. Jefferson Ko, Lessor and Businessman, and Barangay Chairman Hon. Archie Yu graced the ribbon cutting ceremony after the Eucharistic celebration and blessing of the Branch Lite officiated by Rev. Father Gilbert Orbina. Palo Branch is located at Diversion Road, Barangay Guindapunan, Palo, Leyte; with contact numbers (053) 522-2699 and 0917-500-8429.
Joining the Branch Lite list is the newly inaugurated UCPB Savings Daraga Branch Lite. Daraga Municipal Mayor Hon. Victor U. Perete and Legazpi City Public Information Officer Mr. Menjo Ofracio excitedly welcomed Daraga Branch Lite as it will take part not just in the Municipal, but in the whole Province’s economic boom. Both Legazpi and Daraga are working side by side to promote tourism and provide the Province of Albay with an international airport in Daraga. Rev. Father Arjay Remendado officiated the Eucharistic celebration and blessing. From a Legazpi Lending Office, UCPB Savings Daraga Branch Lite is now conveniently located at Daraga Town Center, Bañag, Daraga Albay; with a contact number (052) 431-2583.
Both Branch Lites are equipped with an Automated Teller’s Machine for easy banking.
UCPB Savings Bank President and CEO, Ms. Lizette Margaret Mary J. Racela and Branch Banking Head Mr. Wilfred D. Abobo were present during the Branch Lites’ inauguration. The Bank intends to convert its remaining eleven Lending Offices to Branch Lites and open more Branches to serve the unbanked in all the Provinces of the country in the years to come.
