Just like Gandara, Samar’s tagline “Ikaw an Una”, UCPB Savings Bank (UCPBS) Gandara Branch Lite is the first and only Bank to put up a Branch in the Municipality.
During the Branch’s blessing and inauguration on August 3, 2022, Hon. Mayor Warren T. Aguilar expressed his appreciation, now that Gandareños need not go to Calbayog (that is 31 km. away) to do bank transactions. The Mayor is excited to start partnerships with the Bank. The event was featured on Mayor Aguilar’s social media account.
Formerly Calbayog Lending, the Branch was conveniently relocated at Maharlika Highway, Barangay Adela Heights, Gandara Samar. UCPBS installed acrylic barriers to ensure the safety of both the clients and the bank employees. The Branch is also equipped with an Automated Teller’s Machine for easy banking.
To show support and assure commitment to service, UCPBS President and CEO Ms. Lizette Margaret Mary J. Racela and Branch Banking Division OIC Mr. Patrick M. Gonzalez attended the inauguration. The blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Rex Ibanez, Parish Priest, St. Michael the Archangel Parish.
