UCPB SAVINGS BANK 60 YEARS OF “KASAMA MO” SERVICE IN THE COUNTRY

October 18, 2022

UCPB Savings Bank (UCPBS) celebrated its 6 decades of service to the communities on October 18, 2022. The 60 years marked a historic milestone because it is a reminder of the Bank’s humble beginnings from the merging of savings and rural banks in order to form a stable savings bank with better products and services, the opening of more branches to be able to reach the unbanked and underbanked, the development of bank products apt to the needs of the communities, the launching of ATMs for each branch and branch lite, the improvement and digitalization of processes and systems, and many more.

For 60 years, the “Kasama Mo” culture thrived. Like a diamond, its brilliance can be seen in the significant change brought to the families who now have their own homes or hold the degree of their children, the financial viability of small businesses, the relief of being granted a loan with a low-interest rate and flexible payments, or simply the availability of someone to go to on financial matters to name a few.
The celebration started with a mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Ryan Jamemar A. Belono-Ac, St. Peter and Paul Parish priest, followed by a short program attended by the Board of Directors, Mancom and employees nationwide, live in the Head Office or via Zoom. The messages, prizes, contests, and surprises made it a festive celebration, but the presence of everyone from the start to the end of the program made it more special.

In her heartwarming message, President and CEO Lizette Mary Margarette J. Racela wished that everyone in the Bank imbibe the gift of being a “senior”- doing everything for His greater glory with wisdom and discernment. She expressed how blessed the Bank is and challenged all to do what is best despite limitations; put all efforts together to achieve the Bank’s mission.
UCPBS is committed to being a catalyst for financial inclusion, rising above and beyond the challenges, and defying adversities to effectively serve communities in the years to come.
