UCPB Savings Loan payments will resume effective June 1, 2020

March 21, 2024

Please be advised that the regular monthly payment of your UCPB Savings Auto Loan, Home Loan, and Small Business Loans will resume effective June 1, 2020.

This is based on BSP Memorandum 2020-042 which states that the grace period ceases to take effect once the ECQ/MECQ status in all parts of the country are lifted.

Kindly be reminded of the following:

You are not required to pay double or triple the amount of your regular monthly payment. Here are some examples:

Due date within ECQ Resumption of monthy payment Remarks
March 17, 2020 / 17th of the month June 17, 2020 Your loan term is extended for 90 days as your due date occurs thrice within the March 17-May 31, 2020 grace period. If the loan term will end on June 17, 2025, it will instead be moved to September 17, 2025.
April 1, 2020 / 1st of the month June 1, 2020 Your loan term is extended for 60 days as your due date occurs twice within the March 17-May 31, 2020 grace period. If the loan term will end on June 1, 2025, it will instead be moved to August 1, 2025

In line with the Bayanihan Act’s Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), the accrued interest (interest applied on the unpaid principal due during the ECQ) will be paid on installment basis after the ECQ/MECQ. According to the IRR, the accrued interest is allowed and will be collected in lump sum or on a staggered basis after the quarantine period but the interest on interest, fees, and charges during the grace period are waived. The accrued interest varies based on the following:

  • Outstanding loan principal before ECQ
  • Remaining loan term
