The spirit of unity and service was on full display during the recently held fun run organized by the Bankers Association of Laoag City and Ilocos Norte (BALCIN) on March 14, 2026, in front of the Grand Central Arena in Batac City.
The event was more than just a fitness activity. It was a fundraising initiative aimed at supporting a school in Vintar, reflecting BALCIN’s commitment to community development and education.
A total of 295 participants took part in the event, composed of officers and staff from member banks, as well as non-bankers who joined in support of the cause. The fun run was open to both bankers and the general public, encouraging inclusivity and wider community participation.
Employees of UCPB Savings Bank, Batac Branch, were among those who actively participated, demonstrating their continued commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement.

The event featured a 3K fun run category, welcoming participants of all ages, from children to senior citizens, making it a truly family-friendly and community-centered activity.
The success of the event was made possible with the support of the local government unit (LGU), whose partnership helped ensure a safe and well-organized gathering.
Through initiatives like this, UCPBS Batac Branch continues to strengthen collaboration within the community while making a meaningful impact that can help build brighter futures for communities in need.
