The old carbuncle structure located at 182-C Enrique Yap St., Poblacion Glan, Sarangani Province where generations of Glanians for almost 5 decades did banking transactions could no longer be found. Instead, a contemporary white building, with modernized facilities, wide parking space and Automated Teller Machine stands on the very same spot, proudly holding up the name: UCPB Savings Bank Glan Branch.
The Branch was fully packed with guests and visitors during its blessing on January 28, 2020, officiated by Father Fortunato Ferolino. Some clients joined the Bank personnel during the early morning motorcade. Glan Mayor Hon. Vivien B. Yap and Dr. Jose Ruiz graced the ribbon cutting. The Mayor expressed her gratitude for making the Branch more bankable and urged UCPB Savings to support the local government make Glan bloom, gloom and boom. The Municipality is moving every inch closer to its desired destiny to be the aqua-marine and tourism center of Socksargen and eventually the 1st City of Sarangani Province. Known as the Coconut Queen of the South, Glan is also home to the best white sand beaches in the Philippines.
Bank President & CEO Ms. Lizette Racela said that UCPB Savings Bank will keep on improving its proactive and personal services to all the clients most especially to the loyal ones who have been with the Bank even when it fully operated as the Rural Bank of Glan on January 19, 1974.
Branch Banking Head Wilfred Abobo and Branch Manager Raul Lagrimas thanked the clients who came to witness the unveiling of the Branch’s new look. Clients shared personal experiences and epic stories about the Branch and the employees who had been in service almost 4 decades.
