UCPB Savings Bank (UCPBS) made history as it successfully launched the first-ever bank-initiated fun run in the Province of Iloilo on December 20, 2025, gathering more than 400 participants at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol Grounds. The event forms part of the Bank’s ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which focus on promoting community wellness while supporting meaningful medical advocacy.
Held under the festive theme “Mga Kasama, halika- dalagan kita sa Paskua!”, the fun run energized the holiday season and fostered a strong sense of unity, health, and compassion among Ilonggos from different walks of life. Open to the public , the event welcomed participants aged 7 to 70 years old, making it one of the most inclusive community fitness activities held in the city. While the official route covered a 5-kilometer loop, several runners chose to challenge themselves further by completing 10 kilometers.

Participants were also given the option to purchase the official fun run shirt, with proceeds dedicated to supporting dystonia patients under the care of The Medical City Iloilo, the event’s medical advocacy partner. This initiative reinforced the event’s purpose of combining fitness with compassion and community support.
The successful staging of the fun run was made possible through UCPBS’ partnership with the Province of Iloilo, PESEC and the generous support of its sponsors, including Med Build Corporation, Iloilo Green Tech Corporation, FUSO, J&D Goldsmith, The Medical City Iloilo, IBAM, Supply Net, and Skinfinity. Their contributions ensured a well-organized, safe, and impactful event that highlighted the importance of collaboration in advancing public health and social responsibility.

Beyond the run itself, participants enjoyed a festive morning filled with Zumba sessions, raffle prizes, and complimentary pandesal, coffee, water, and lugaw, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere reflective of Iloilo’s strong community spirit.
The inaugural fun run marks a significant milestone in UCPB Savings Bank’s CSR journey, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive community engagement, wellness advocacy, and meaningful partnerships. With its strong turnout and positive reception, the event sets the foundation for a potential annual tradition that brings Ilonggos together for fitness, charity, and camaraderie.
