The Municipality of Candelaria, Zambales, came alive on October 29–31, 2025, during its annual Laruk-Laruk Festival, a colorful celebration that honors the traditional art of making pinipig.
With the theme “Seed of Culture, Harvest of Progress,” the festival highlighted the town’s agricultural heritage and its ongoing journey toward growth and progress.
In support of this meaningful event, the Local Government Unit of Candelaria, through its Municipal Tourism Office, invited UCPB Savings Bank to join the festivities. The Bank proudly participated in the Laruk-Laruk Fun Run, embracing the spirit of unity, wellness, and community service. Running together as Team 590, the UCPBS family celebrated fitness, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to cultural pride and local development. The experience reminded everyone that progress begins with small, meaningful steps, just like how one seed leads to a fruitful harvest.
