UCPBS Orion Branch Lite, Steward of Taga Udyong’s Financial Resources

June 25, 2020

“The residents of Orion, Bataan experienced the difficulty of banking during the lockdown. We have to travel all the way to Balanga to manage our funds. Having a bank here at Orion will make it easier for all taga Udyongs.”

Hon. Mayor Antonio L. Raymundo, Jr.
       Municipal Mayor
 Orion, Bataan

Because it is UCPB Savings Bank’s (UCPBS) goal to provide banking services to the unbanked, and to have access to useful and affordable financial products that meet the community’s needs, UCPBS Balanga Lending Office was converted to a Branch Lite. It is now relocated to a more accessible and convenient site at Stall 31, National Road, Barangay Arellano, Orion, Bataan; fully operational since June 25, 2020. Orion and its nearby municipalities can now experience UCPBS Orion Branch Lite’s personal and proactive service with modern facilities, spacious and comfortable interior, equipped with an Automated Teller Machine.

Pursuant to the DTI-DOLE Joint Memorandum Circular No. 20-04-A series of 2020 mandate on Covid-19 Prevention in the Workplace, its blessing and inauguration was done when the Province of Bataan is under MGCQ on December 3, 2020.

After the motorcade, Rev. Father Percival V. Medina, St. Michael Parish Church Parochial Priest bestowed the blessing of the Branch, which was followed by a short program. Participants and guests were limited in compliance to Covid-19 protocol. The Branch was honored to have the Father of taga Udyong, Hon. Mayor Antonio L. Raymundo, Jr., and Orion Water District’s Manager, Mr. Crispin Q. Tria who were both looking forward to materialize a partnership with the Bank. Gracing the event from the Head Office are UCPBS President & CEO Lizette Racela, Branch Banking Head Mr. Wilfred Abobo and Ms. Leilani Bundoc, Luzon 1 Region Head.

In order to manage potential pandemic risks this Christmas season, Orion, Bataan will be placed again on lockdown from December 22, 2020 to January 3, 2021; in which case the role of UCPBS Orion Branch Lite will be very crucial in banking transactions and funds availability in the municipality.

The Branch Lite is open from 9:00 am- 3:00 pm, with a 24-hour ATM service.
