UCPB Savings Bank joined the nation in offering hope and support to communities devastated by Typhoon Uwan through the donation of cash assistance, relief goods, and food items. This initiative forms part of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Finance Framework (SFF), reflecting its ongoing commitment to social welfare, environmental stewardship, and community service.
To ensure that assistance reached the areas most severely affected, the Bank partnered with Caritas Philippines for the deployment and distribution of the relief items. Caritas, known for its mission of uplifting the poor, marginalized, and vulnerable through humanitarian action, provided a reliable channel to deliver timely and meaningful aid to families in need.
Caritas Philippines expressed its gratitude to UCPB Savings Bank for its continued support of its initiatives, most especially the Segunda Mana program, which the Bank has supported for over four years. Caritas emphasized that this steadfast partnership has welcomed the prospect of further strengthening humanitarian collaboration in the years ahead.

All donated items were officially turned over to the Caritas Philippines headquarters on November 19, 2025, and were received by Lorenz Satumba (Donated Goods Acquisition Specialist), Kershey Juinio (Cash Donation Associate), Yssa Tañola (Donated Goods Acquisition Specialist), and Cathy Reyes (Donated Goods Officer).
Through this collaboration, UCPB Savings Bank strengthens its commitment to helping Filipino communities in times of crisis and supporting initiatives that promote compassion and recovery. The Bank looks forward to continuing its humanitarian partnership with Caritas Philippines as they work together to uplift vulnerable communities.
