Bringing Banking Closer to Island Communities: UCPB Savings Bank Caramoan Branch Reaches Far-Flung Schools

March 12, 2026

On March 5, 2026, the UCPB Savings Bank Caramoan Branch successfully carried out a special inter-island marketing activity aimed at reaching school communities in the island barangays of Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Determined to bring banking services closer to educators in remote areas, the branch team traveled by motorboat to visit several DepEd schools located in far-flung islands.

The team visited Oring Elementary School, Oring National High School, Guinahoan Elementary School, Daraga Elementary School, Lipata Integrated School, and Gata Integrated School. The activity gathered around 100 teaching and non-teaching personnel who warmly welcomed the UCPB Savings Bank team.

During the visits, the Branch reintroduced its products and services, with special focus on the Salary Loan program and its simplified requirements designed to make borrowing easier and more accessible for teachers and school staff. The discussions were lively and engaging, with participants showing enthusiasm and asking questions about how the loan program could support their financial needs.

The outreach was met with a positive and encouraging response from the schools. Teachers and staff actively interacted with the team, expressing excitement about the loan offer and appreciation for the bank’s effort to reach their communities.

Beyond sharing financial products, the activity strengthened relationships between UCPB Savings Bank and the local school communities. It also sparked interest in the bank’s services and opened opportunities for future engagement in these island areas.

Through initiatives like this, the UCPB Savings Bank Caramoan Branch continues to demonstrate its commitment to serving communities, no matter the distance, by bringing accessible and reliable banking services closer to the people who need them most.
