UCPBS Goa Branch took active steps to organize and process the accreditation and re-accreditation of three Local Government Units (LGUs): LGU San Jose, LGU Lagonoy, and LGU Tinambac. Through close coordination and thorough preparation, the team ensured that all requirements were met, enabling the salary loan programs of these LGUs to be accredited and ready for implementation. This initiative reflects the branch’s commitment to remaining productive and forward-thinking while continuously expanding its services to government employees.
The branch remains optimistic that this effort will further strengthen its partnerships with local government offices. With these LGUs prepared in advance, the coming months are expected to bring more opportunities to assist employees and increase loan releases while supporting the financial needs of public servants.

Salary loans provide government employees with accessible and reliable financial support for various personal needs such as education, medical expenses, home improvements, and other important family priorities. By offering a structured and convenient loan facility through payroll deduction, employees are able to manage their finances more effectively while avoiding informal or high-interest lending sources.
Moreover, the availability of salary loans contributes to greater financial inclusion by giving employees access to formal banking services. This helps encourage responsible borrowing, promotes financial stability, and allows more individuals to participate in the formal financial system, ultimately supporting both personal financial well-being and community development.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the partnership has already been signed by the respective Municipal Mayors:
- Mayor Jerold B. Peña, of LGU San Jose, on January 26, 2026
- Mayor Dyego Luiz H. Pilapil, of LGU Lagonoy, on March 2, 2026
- Mayor Edward Albert P. Prades, of LGU Tinambac, on March 12, 2026
With these agreements in place, the Branch looks forward to strengthening collaboration with these local government units and continuing its mission of delivering accessible financial services to public sector employees.
