Escalante City is gearing up for another vibrant celebration as the 28th Manlambus Festival officially begins with its opening parade on May 27, 2026, organized through the Office of the City Mayor Melecio “Beboy” J. Yap Jr. The festival remains one of the city’s most anticipated annual events, celebrating Escalante’s rich cultural heritage, agricultural roots, and the unity of its people.
The Manlambus Festival honors the local sugarcane industry and the hardworking farmers behind it. It refers to the traditional process of milling sugarcane, symbolizing both livelihood and the resilience of the community. Over the years, the festival has become a meaningful way for residents to celebrate their history while bringing people together through various activities, performances, and community events.

As part of the pre-festival activities, UCPB Savings Bank Escalante Branch joined the Vibe Run 2026 held on May 24. The event gathered participants from all sectors, from youth and senior citizens to representatives from local government units, private organizations, and national agencies.
More than just a fun run, the Vibe Run served as an early highlight of the festivities, promoting health and wellness while strengthening connections across the community. It created a space for participants to engage, stay active, and share in the excitement leading up to the festival.

Through its participation, UCPB Savings Bank Escalante Branch reaffirmed its support for community-driven initiatives and its commitment to being present where it matters most. By taking part in activities like the Vibe Run, the UCPBS continues to build stronger relationships with the people it serves and contribute to the spirit of collaboration that defines celebrations like the Manlambus Festival.
