The inauguration, blessing and opening of UCPB Savings Bank on May 10, 2017 was warmly welcomed by the community of the Municipality of Alfonso. After the motorcade, the Eucharistic celebration, blessing and opening was attended by hundreds of residents, who at the same time transacted over-the-counter and queued at the ATM.
The ribbon cutting was headed by Alfonso Mayor Virgilio Varias and Magallanes Mayor Jasmine Angelli Bautista, assisted by the bank’s President and CEO Angel Mojica, in the presence of Board Members Rainer Ambion and Reinalyne Varias, Councilor Carolina Rivera and ABC President Rey Casabuena.
In her message, BM Varias emphasized the importance of saving in a bank which may be started even at a young age. This was supported by the BBD Head Wilfred Abobo stating that UCPB Savings Bank is not simply a bank where you can save, but a trusted bank which can be relied on.
