“Thank you UCPB Savings Bank for being a blessing to the 1035 students of Talospatang Elementary School. May God bless you more”.
These were part of the words of appreciation delivered by Christopher Francisco, SPG President, after the distribution of bags at Talospatang Elementary School, Malasiqui, Pangasinan on July 5, 2019. All 1035 students received brand new bags which they can use every day when they go to school. The students cheered excitedly prior to the distribution, and received the bags with enthusiasm. Some parents even lined up with their kindergartens.
Both the District Supervisor Mr. Nick Langit and Principal, Mrs. Teresita Ermino expressed gratitude on behalf of all the students; not only for the bags, but also for almost 1000 books donated by UCPB Savings Banks and some clients last April 2019. According to Mrs. Ermino, the library is now a favourite place to hang-out during the students’ spare time.
The Bag to School project was realized in partnership with Coop GM and through the generous hearts of the UCPB Savings Bank employees nationwide.
